HealthCare Specialties, LLC is a California-based company that designs, develops and produces medical devices (PD products) for Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) patients.
The Company's products are used to enable patients, on PD modality, to cope with their kidney disease treatments more safely, effectively and with additional comfort.
Peritoneal Dialysis requires frequent exchanges of dialysate fluid, infused into the abdomen through a catheter, to absorb the accumulated impurities in the blood the patients' kidneys can no longer handle.
George Militzer
The inventor and manufacturer of all HealthCare Specialties' products is George Militzer. Aided by his Architectural and Industrial Design schooling and backgrounds — and considerable experience as a veteran of all kidney failure treatment modalities, including CAPD, CCPD, Hemodialysis and kidney transplant — he originally developed and tested these successful devices on himself and for his own personal use. Products distributed by the company are either patented or are patent pending.
